NWS Says Lancaster County Severe Storm Not A Tornado

The National Weather Service announced the severe storms that hit Lancaster County last Tuesday did not produce a tornado. Officials say they evaluated the damage from the storm that covered a 5-mile area from the end of Black Stump Road to the northern area of Kilmarnock and determined it was due to straight-line winds of between 70 to 90 miles an hour. The storn that hit Northampton County the day before was confirmed to be an EF-2 tornado.
