The RAL Art Center in Kilmarnock announced the winners in its “Art of Still Life Exhibit”. Exhibit coordinator Mary Ellis tells the Rappahannock Record it was judged by Marjorie Perrin who taught for 30 years at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Studio School. Perrin awarded first place to “Purple Tangerine,” an oil painting by Sarah Elliott. Second place went to “A Grand Florida Beacon,” a photograph on canvas by Richard Shurtz. Third place was awarded to “Thistle,” a pencil sketch by Rob Shutler.
