Virginia officials are looking at ways to incentivize the COVID-19 vaccine but aren’t looking at cash contests as a way to get people to get the shot. Vaccine Coordinator Dr. Danny Avula says they’re conidering giving away state park passes and lifetime hunting and fishing licenses to get those in rural areas vaccinated. Avula says he’s concerned that offering incentives now could make it tougher to get particiption in future vaccination campaigns.
