Unemployment claimants can now schedule appointments online to speak with a representative about their case. The Virginia Employment Commission implemented the system after numerous complaints about getting unemployment benefits during COVID-19. Officials say the 20-minute phone appointments are limited and may not lead to a resolution or payment of claims. The agency is also urging you to only schedule one appointment.
