The Heathsville Farmer’s Market will host the Capital Focus Jazz Band for a free concert on June 19 starting at noon. Potomac River Jazz Club publicity chairman Nellie Landrum tells the Rappahannock Record that the band which is the club’s youth learning program has been in existence for more than 3 decades. It gives young musicians a grounding in the fundamentals of jazz, as well as specialized training in the traditional New Orleans styles.
