Easements Sought For Broadband Expansion Plan

Som residents in Westmoreland, Northumberland, Richmond
and other counties will be asked to allow Dominion Energy access to utility poles on their property in order to expand fiber-optic broadband internet access. According to the Free-Lance Star Dominion doesn’t need any more access or easements than it already has, just permission to use the poles for the fiber cable. The project is part of the Rural Broadband Program which has received funding along wioth necessary approvals from federal agencies and commitments from participating localities.
