Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office dispatcher and communications officer Heather Jenkins is the recipient of the Peninsula EMS Regional award for outstanding EMS Telecommunications Officer / Dispatcher for 2021. Heather was nominated by Lancaster County Emergency Services. She will now be the regional nominee for the Governor’s EMS Award which recognizes the outstanding contributions of individuals, agencies and community organizations and businesses that provide or help support emergency medical care in Virginia.
