Lancaster Community Library Observes Juneteenth

Juneteenth is the oldest celebrated day of the ending of slavery in the U.S. with several events and activities planned for Saturday. The Rappahannock Record reports the Lancaster Community Library in Kilmarnock is celebrating with a display of books from civil rights leaders and influential Black Americans. There is also a history of the Emancipation Proclamation. The library is open in limited capacity from 1-7 p.m. Mondays, 10 a.m.-7 p.m,. Tuesdays and Thursdays and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays
