Middlesex County residents will have a chance to sound off about the county adopting a local cigarette tax. The Southside Sentinel reports a public hearing will take place at the Board of Supervisors’ July 6 meeting that will start at 7:00 p.m. The Board also will hear comments on having the county joining the regional Chesapeake Bay Cigarette Tax Board which administers and collect the tax for a 5% administrative cost.
