Governor Ralph Northam signs a bill establishing paid sick leave for home health workers in Virginia. It applies to around 30,000 home health providers who work at least 20 hours a week or 90 hours a month for clients under the commonwealth’s Medicaid plan. Employers are also banned from retailliating against workers taking paid leave. The measure got approval from lawmakers back in February once it got some major revisions.
