The Virginia Department of Transportation will suspend many highway work zones and lift most lane closures on interstates and other major roads ifrom noon on Friday, July 2, until noon on Tuesday, July 6. Officials say this will help make it easier for travelers to get to their holiday destinatons. They encourage Virginians to download the free 5-1-1 app to get updated traffic conditions.
