As growing season gets under way the Virginia Cooperative Extension offices in Gloucester, Mathews and Middlesex counties are offering water testing services. According to the Gazette-Journal testing kits for residents will be available on June 29 and samples are to be dropped off the next morning. Water will be analyzed for 14 parameters, including bacteria, metals, nitrate and hardness. The cost is $60 cash or check. Call 804-815-9458 for testing registration or more information.
