Virginia Reaches 70% Vaccination Rate

Virginia has achieved 70% of those 18 and older receiving at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose. The Commonwealth is now the 16th state in the nation to meet this goal set by President Joe Biden and reached the milestone two weeks ahead of the nationwide July 4 target. Just over 60% are considered fully vaccinated, which according to the CDC means it’s been more than 2 weeks since receiving both doses of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine or the single Johnson & Johnson dose.
