The conversion of a former Callao golf course into a campground is a step closer now that the Northumberland County Board of Supervisors approved permits for the project. According to the Rappahannock Record the permit has a number of restrictions on parking, waste removal and noise. The site will be limited to 20 camps with a maximum of 9 days pver a 45-day period. The developer expects to open the campground by the summer of 2022.
