Coronavirus cases are on the rise in Virginia. According to the Department of Health over 720 cases were reported iin the last 24 hours – an increase from the 500 cases reported the day earlier. The positivity rate is now at 3% compared to 1% in June. More than 300 people are hospitalized across the commonwealth. Officials say that between mid-January and mid-June close to 100% of COVID-19 cases were with those who were unvaccinated.
