It’s life behind bars for a Gloucester mad taking a plea deal in the death of an infant and severely assaulting a woman. Prosecutors say Dennis Chambers pleaded guilty to the July 2020 incident where he smothered the 5-month-old to death and used a hammer to injure Corena Chambers. According to authorities she is still recovering at a long term facility. Chambers received a life sentence for the baby’s murdre and 40 years for Corena’s assault.
