Middlesex County voters will have a chance to weigh in on the Board of Supervisor’s decision to take down the Confederate monument at the Historic Middlesex County Courthouse but it won’t be at the ballot box. The Southside Sentinel reports the Board decided not to request an advisory vote to remove the statue instead voting to take the monument down. A public hearing will be held on Sept. 7.
