New Election Laws Take Effect Today

A number of new election laws take effect beginning today. One of those helps people with temporary disabilities by expanding curbside voting access. That includes those with an injury that prevents them from getting into a building. Should a state of emergency be declared like COVID-19 everyone can access curbside voting. Firearms are now banned within 40 feet of a voting precinct. And the June primary date is now the third Tuesday of the month.
