Steamboat Era Museum Present Kids Aboard Fridays

Kids from the age of 3 through 16 can learn about the history of steamboats during a special program held on Fridays at the Steamboat Era Museum in Irvington. Executive Director Steve Humphrey says the kids get a chance to turn the wheel and ring the bell in the pilot house, play games popular during the Steamboat Era and make a wood steamboat which they test in the water. The fee is $5 per child and children must be accompained by an adult.
