VDFP’s Aid to Localities Funding Increases For 2021

The Virginia Fire Services Board announced an increase to the Fire Programs Fund. means larger awards from the Virginia Aid to Localities funding program. This year over $25 million is available to the commonwealth’s 323 counties, cities, and incorporated towns. The program recived 1 percent of insurance premiums collected in the previous calendar year. Funding for 2021-2011 is now available. Qualifying localities are required to submit annual reports and financial documentation to receive an allocation.
