The Virginia Attorney General’s office has the help wanted sign out for the commonwealth’s first-ever cannibas attorney. According to Mark Herring’s office the attorney will serve as general counsel to the newly created Virginia Cannabis Control Authority and assist other state agencies with regulations and laws regarding cannabis. Governor Ralph Northam recently named members of Virginia’s cannabis regulation boards and they along with the new attorney will help develop recreational marijuana sales regulations. Sales begin in 2024.
