Last year the General Assembly gave the green light to casino gambling and now the Virginia Lottery board has sent proposed regulations to Gov. Ralph Northam for his approval. After that there will be a public comment period before the lottery board gives its final approval. Lawmakers agrees to allow developers to build 5 large casinos in the commonwealth which according to proponents will give a much-needed economic boost to poorer areas.
