Now that recreational marijuana is legal those with past convictions for misdemeanor possession and possession with intent to distribute will have their records sealed from public view. Last year simple possession of marijuana records were sealed. People will also have the ability to petition a court to seal all other marijuana-related misdemeanors and most marijuana-related felonies. The deadline to seal records across state and private databases is July of 2025.
