Shortly after the Postal Service announced they’re adding 1 to 2 days to certain mail deliveries comes word the agency could be seeking a holiday shipping surcharge. USPS is looking raising prices between 25 cents to $5 for shipments between October 3 and December 26th. The exact surcharge depends on weight and service level and applies to retail and commercial rates. The Postal Regulatory Commission still has to approve the higher rates.
