The Virginia Department of Social Services will issue additional Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer benefits to eligible households on August 25 Students who qualified for free or reduced-price meals during the 2020-2021 school year will receive a one-time, lump sum benefit of $375. Benefits for each eligible student will be loaded onto existing P-EBT cards or mailed to newly qualifying households. Officials say the additional benefit will help more than 790,000 students.
