Virginia COVID-19 Vaccine Coordinator Dr. Danny Avlua says he believes the Food and Drug Administration will likely give full approval to COVID-19 vaccines and also okay their use for children aged 5 to 11. Avula made the comments during a conference call on Tuesday and said those two actions will move Virginia forward to getting more people vaccinated. The FDA granted emergency authorization for the COVID-19 vaccines after clinical trials.
