The Virginia Department of Health reports the COVID-19 pisitive case rate is now at 6%. More than 3500 new cases were reported between Saturday and Tuesday with close to 10,000 new cases over the past two weeks. Officials say nearly all cases, hospitalizations and deaths are with unvaccinated people. Slightly more than 60% of those 12 and over have received at least one vaccine dose while close to 55% are fully vaccinated.
