Gloucester County Holding Solar Ordinance Public Hearing On Sept. 7

Gloucester County residents weighed in on the Board of Supervisor’s planned revisions to the county’s solar power farms ordinances. The Gazette-Journal reports those who spoke at a town hall meeting on Aug. 23 expressed concerns over wetlands, potential pollution and keeping the county’s rural character. There are currently 5 solar farms in the county taking up less than 1% of total acreage. A public hearing on the ordinance is scheduled for Sept. 7.
