The Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society is partnering with nonprofit organization KultureCity to make the animal shelter and all the programs and events the shelter hosts onsite sensory inclusive. This new initiative will promote an accommodating and positive experience for all guests who have sensory issues. Staff were trained by medical professionals on how to identify visitors who may have sensory needs and how to properly handle any potential sensory overload situation.
