A Virginia Department of Health grant will allow Mathews County lawmakers to study the feasibility of establishing a small water supply system for Mathews Court House. The Gazette-Journal reports the $5,000 grant will update a study first done in the mid-1990s. The county will hire a consultant to conduct the study which officials is a preliminary step in the process.
