We’re learning more about the Virginia Department of Health’s plans for rolling out third doses of the Moderna and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines. Vaccine Coordinator Dr. Danny Avula says pending FDA and Centers for Disease Control approval eligible indivuduals can start receiving doses on Sept. 20. Those are people who received their second dose 8 months ago. Avula says they’re discussing with local officials whether they will need to set up mass vaccination clinics.
