Westmoreland County residents will be getting a break on personal property taxes after the Board of Supervisors allocated $72,000 for tax relief. According to Westmoreland News those with personal vehicles with $1,000 or less will get full tax relief while those worth up to $20,000 qualify for 25% relief. Vehicles worth more or motorhomes and business vehicles do not qualify. Officials say increasing used vehicle values resulted in higher property taxes and that impacted ine amount of relief.
