Richmond County lawmakers implement a $100 annual fee for those renting out their homes via sites including AirBnB and Vrbo. According to Northern Neck News the fee will begin in January and comes after the county planning commission commissioned a study of short-term rentals. The county also implemented an ordinance that defines what constitutes a short-term rental and includes regulations to address concerns over noise, trash and other issues.
