Candidates planning to run for office in special elections in Irvington and White Stone have a week to file their paperwork. Lancaster voter registrar Susan Jett tells the Rappahannock Record applications are due by 5:00 p.m. next Friday. Irvington will select a new Mayor and council member who will serve until December of 2024. A council seat is up for grabs in White Stone. Candidates should contact the registrar’s office for instructions on completing paperwork.
