Last Thursday’s Urbanna Town Council meeting was packed as the public came out to offer their opinions on the Hampton Roads Sanitation District’s plans to bulldoze a Linden Ave. home to build a pump station. The Southside Sentinel reports an attorney for one resident claimed building the station violates zoning ordinances while another told the council it is unconscionable to allow the project. Town officials previously said the district did not need a permit to build the station.
