Virginia House Passes Budget Proposal

The Virginia House overwhelmingly approves a plan to spend the $4.3 billion in federal coronavirus relief money keeping close to a billion dollars in reserve. The plan includes funding for small businesses, improving broadband internet access, upgrading air handling in public schools and bolstering Virginia’s unemployment trust fund. It’s now the Senate’s turn to come up with a plan and that chamber has crafted a number of amendments including returning walk-in service at the Department of Motor Vehicles.
