COVID-19 Boosters Not Available In Virginia For Now

Virginia’s COVID-19 vaccine czar Dr. Danny Avula announced booster doses of the Pfizer vaccine will not be made available after the FDA last week only authorized it for those 65 and older and those with compromised immune systems. Avula says they will await further word from the FDA before any decision on boosters is made. He continues to recommend those 12 and older to get the vaccine as those who are unvaccinated remain at the highest risk of severe illness.
