If you were planning to use the Heathesville DMV Select office you’ll need to find another location until after the new year. Northumberland Treasurer Elen Kirby tells the Echo they decided to shut down the independent office until tax season is over. The office opened 16 years ago and Kirby says in the past they’ve been able to stay open during tax season because there wasn’t a lot of work – but with the pandemic they’ve been a lot busier and resources are limited.
