The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office is warning of a phone scam making the rounds involving a represententative from Virginia Power who threatens to disconnect your service if a payment isn’t made immediately. The caller identifies himself as Nathan. The department says do not fall for this scam and never give out any personal information over the phone.
If you get one of these calls and are concerned call Virginia Power or your power company to report it.
