Wednesday will be the last day the Robert E. Lee statue in Richmond will be on Monument Avenue. After the Supreme Court dismissed 2 lawsuits stopping its removal the commonwealth began the process to take down the Confederate general’s likeness. Roads around the statue will close tonight at 6:00 p.m. but pedestrian access will remain open. The roads will remain closed through this Saturday.
