With early voting underway for more than a week a new Monmouth University poll shows the gubernatorial race is stiill nearly a dead heat. The survey from Sept. 22 to 26 shows Terry McAuliffe leading Glenn Youngkin by 7 points which is in the poll’s plus or minus 3.5% margin of error. Pollsters say McAuliffe’s strongest support is in Northern Virginia while the western part of the state is Youngkin’s stronghold. The two candidates hold their final debate tonight.
