We now know what artifacts will be going into the new time capsule to be buried at the location of the former Robert E. Lee monument. According to Gov. Ralph Northam’s office they include a COVID-19 vaccination card, a photo of a Black ballerina in front of the Lee statue, a Black Lives Matter sticker, a face mask, and a poem written in Unified English Braille. The capsule was crafted by Richmond sculptor Paul DiPasquale and will be placed in the concrete pedestal of Richmond’s Lee Monument.
