The Northumberland Public Library received more than $21,000 from the proceeds of the Lockdown Lottery held earlier this year. The Northumberland Echo reports the Friends of the Northumberland Public Library which held the fundraiser presented the library with a check last week. The lottery was limited to 300 tickets with a $5,000 grand prize and 6 first prizes of $500 each. The winners were drawn at the July Farmers Market in Heathsville.
