Governor Ralph Northam’sTask Force on Culturally Inclusive School Meals and Calendars released their final report on Thursday. Recommendations include helping schools understand the religious and cultural needs of their students,
creating culturally inclusive food pantries in partnership with local and faith-based organizations and recognizing schools that implement innovative and inclusive school meal and calendar practices. Schools are recommended to get input from the public so student’s religions and cultures are represented on academic calendars.
