Over 30 health care organizations in Virginia are jointly urging those who have not received the COVID-19 vaccine to get the shot as the spread of the delta variant is resulting in a surge of new infections and hospitalizations. Around 65% of those 18 and older are fully vaccinated but the organizations say it’s still not enough to limit the spread of a virus that has claimed the lives of more than 12,000 Virginians.
