Virginia comes in at number six on financial website WalletHub’s ranking of best states for teachers. The site looked at 2 dozen metrics to come up with the list and Virginia came in first for “Teachers’ Income Growth Potential” and “Existence of Digital Learning Plan”. It ranked 17th for average starting salary and 28 for average salary. New York topped the overall ranking followed by Utah and Washington State.
