Virginia now has an app to connect users and state government agencies with nearby small businesses. The Start Small app features keyword searches to match users with nearby businesses from the approximately 100,000 registered vendors. Searches can be further refined to limit those that are owned by women, minorities or service-disabled veterans certified through the Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity. Vendors can register to be on the app at no cost.
