Some employees of the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office and Social Services are getting pay hikes thanks to funding from the American Rescue Plan Act. The Gazette-Journal reports the board of supervisors approved the increases at its meeting on Tuesday and also okayed a Sheriff’s Office funding request to buy automated external defribulators as well as requests from Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue to purchase personal protective equipment. The county has about a million dollars remaing in ARPA funding.
