The gubernatorial race between Terry McAuliffe and Glenn Youngkin is one for the record books in terms of campaign fundraising. According to public filing reports the two have raised $88 million through September smashing the previous mark of $49 million set in 2013 when McAuliffe ran against Ken Cuccinelli. McAuliffe out-raised Youngkin in September and also out-spent the Republican last month. Polls show the race is a virtual dead heat.
