The Heathsville Farmers Market takes place Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Rice’s Hotel/Hughlett’s Tavern on Monument Place. Executive director Corinne Becker tells the Rappahannock Record that in addition to the market activities the public is invited to bring their pets for a “Blessing of the Animals” ceremony at 10 a.m., courtesy of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church. The Northumberland Public Library’s Mobile-Library/Tech-Mobile will also be on site and the Heritage Arts Center gift shop will be open.
